After more than a year, the first advanced workshop for Nerve Sparing & Laparoscopic Sacrocolpopexy was held by Dr. Franz Roithmeier in Linz, Austria – a highlight for everyone involved to finally be able to attend the first advanced training events that could be held in the operating theatre again!

The workshop covered the introduction to A.M.I.’s EndoGYNious for laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy in a live-surgery setting with also a theoretical session on mesh development, study results, successes achieved so far followed by group discussion.

The workshop was conducted by Dr. Franz Roithmeier, an exceptionally experienced specialist in treating gynaecological diseases, pelvic organ disorders and urinary incontinence. Dr. Roithmeier is the senior physician of the Gynaecology Department at the “Ordensklinikum Linz Barmherzigen Schwersten” and head of the affiliated Pelvic Floor Centre – the largest in Austria. He is also a member of numerous scientific and gynaecological committees.

“It was a fantastic workshop – and not only because it was the first after a long Corona-break, but that we could finally personally discuss and exchange,” says A.M.I. Managing Director, Ralf Markstahler. “With Dr. Roithmeier, we have a renowned and highly qualified expert on board who inspires not only with his expertise but also with his passion for healing and helping patients. We are thrilled with this all-around successful start to the post-Corona workshop era and we hope that we can now hit the ground running here again, too!”
