Dr. Harald Krentel and his team from the hospital “Evangelischen Krankenhaus Bethedsa” in Duisburg, Germany led another educational workshop on “Laparoscopic in-bag morcellation for LASH and myomectomy”.
Unprotected morcellation of tissue during laparoscopic surgeries such as hysterectomies and myomectomies is often associated with numerous complications and disadvantages for patients. This is why Dr. Krentel strongly recommends in-bag morcellation. In his workshop, Dr. Krentel addressed this topic and explained in detail the correct use of the A.M.I. i-Cut in combination with the More-Cell-System.
“Talking about efficient morcellation, the i-Cut together with the More-Cell-Safe is a great combination. Tissue pieces and cell particles are isolated in the closed system, More-Cell bag, while the i-Cut is ideal for extracting large tissue with its blade and high cutting performance,” explains Dr. Krentel when leaving the OR. “During my workshops, I pay special attention to providing tips and tricks to the participants. We discuss specific problems and issues and it is always great to have a lively interaction,” Dr. Krentel continues.
